For those who have their vehicles towed to our Belleville location, please be aware that there are several city, county, state and federal laws which in turn, govern the storage and release of those impounded vehicles and any property contained in them. The following are general guidelines concerning vehicle release. Please call if you have any questions regarding anything related to your vehicle at (618) 233-6806.
Vehicles and person belongings shall be released to the registered owner ONLY or the owner’s designated representative. Both parties must show a picture I.D.
To collect person belongings from the vehicle you will need the following:
- Valid Driver’s License or Picture I.D.
- Current Proof of Registration and/or Title
- Current Proof of Insurance
To be able to driver the vehicle out of Impound, you will need the following:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current Proof of Registration
- Current Proof of Insurance
- Second Valid Driver’s License from the person(s) who brought you to our location
To be a Personal Representative of the Owner of the Vehicle, you will need the following:
- A Signed Letter from the Vehicle Owner authorizing any person(s) to remove personal items from the vehicle or drive it off of the lot.
- A copy of Vehicle Owner’s Valid Driver’s license or Picture I.D.
- Your own Valid Driver’s License or a Picture I.D., only if removing personal belongings for the Vehicle Owner.
NOTE: ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE VEHICLE IS REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES:
Please be aware that some Vehicles with Police Holds may be subjected to additional restrictions. You will need to contact the Police Department directly involved with your case to obtain the information, and if applicable, the Release(s) you will need to obtain your vehicle.
